Collaboration : four uncoupled production lines.

Working together is easier when you don't have to wait in line for the other departments to move on. It's also easier when you have an idea about which task everyone should perform, and when you have the very tools to help them fulfill their mission.

The WebMS collaboration framework just delivers all that.
Figure 1 : Everyday work on a business website is most often divided between those
four roles.
Everyday work on a business website is most often divided between the following four roles : publisher, developer, webdesigner and webmaster (Figure 1).
If you let everyone of them write in the site's html code, it soon becomes unmaintainable.
On the other hand, if you put everybody in line in a sequential production process, your website is stuck in an endless process queue.

Clean code, no hassle.

The four WebMS production lines uncouple those four roles and rearticulate them for their better collaboration.
Figure 2 : WebMS' 4 parallel production lines.
WebMS offers to each role a specific edition interface, so that everyone accesses only the configuration and edition domains that belong to his own role. That is, publishers modify content without messing up the developer's code.
And the webdesigner may modify completely HTML and CSS style layers without any possibility of having an impact on the site's structure and navigation rules.

Each line's contribution is being clearly separated from the others' work, but is also constrained by validation rules, so that the possibility of producing inconsistencies is drastically reduced.
Even the Wysiwyg Page Editor and the Visual Tree Editor will not let you enter insconsistent data!

Collaboration layers : making sense together.

Figure 3 : WebMS' main added value
comes from its ability to uncouple roles
and rearticulate them together in a
meaningful organisation.

WebMS' main added value comes from its ability to uncouple roles and rearticulate them together in a meaningful organisation. Processes, tools and user interfaces have been thought from ground up in this perspective.

Collaboration layers of WebMS enable web professionals to work together AND in parallel production lines. WebMS methodology and tools help you define an optimised, parallelised, state-of-the-art production process.

The result is : less discussion, and more collaboration, less quality checks, and more qualitative productions.
